What if I was ________? Qualitative Research Skills + Rapid Prototyping + Empathy
During this workshop we’re full time makers. We tap into the world of empathy and think about what it would be like to live in someone else’s shoes. Children will follow their own curiosity to empathize with whoever they choose. Examples are endless ranging from a child living in Syria, to a movie star or the President of a very powerful country. Through demonstrations and exercises children become familiar with design mindsets and practices that will help them answer their play questions. Children will create objects (rapid prototyping) and stories that generate insights about what its like to live in someone else’s shoes .They will learn the MiP process while gaining an understanding of the importance of practicing a skill like empathy in their individual lives.
